“I have been involved with various groups and association of industries in Gujarat since last 20 years. These organizations include GDMA, GCCI, GESCSL, Novel Spent Acid Management and Baroda Effluent Channel Project.

My main objective has been to help industries especially in the SMEs to achieve environmental standards at affordable cost. I carefully studied their problems and after detailed interaction with them came to the conclusion that the environmental pollution problems can effectively be solved by establishing common facilities such as CETP, SLF and Spent Acid Management. As part of these activities we established CETP and SLF along with associated infrastructure in the name of the Green Environment Services Co-op. Soc. Ltd. and spent acid management facilities in the name of Novel Spent Acid Management. We are operating all these facilities diligently and efficiently to protect the environmental quality.

We are also continuously upgrading these facilities by incorporating new and advanced technologies and operational methods. In order to support our EMS we have adequate work force of technically qualified and trained personnel. We have also established state of the art laboratory facilities for effective monitoring and evaluation of the performance of our EMS. Besides creating the core EMS facilities we have also taken up issues such as conservation of environmental resources and energy by conducting appropriate awareness programmes for the protection and preservation of environmental quality.”
